Have you noticed the increased multiplication of events? If I were a mathematician, I maybe would have other language to describe what I am seeing. Life offered me multiple surprises with two moves within 18 months. These moves demanded that I pack up and respond to changes that my Being and the environment required. My moves weren’t dreamed in…as in a choice; they were a mixture of call and response, my inner vision and landlords’ renovation plans. My instinctive wish for a change of place…that was my higher sense…yet on a ground level, I would have stayed in my comfort zone for quite a while. Practically, saying “let’s do it” took time, as I grappled with the implications of uprooting my life and resettling.
This new cycle of change took focused attention to the various parts of my personal world. I was running three small businesses while continuing my artistic practice and healing from a devastatingly painful two-bone wrist break. Each responsibility added layers of complexity to my life. It demanded my energy and flexibility. This left little room for the disturbances that moving would bring. The act of relocating felt monumental, a massive shift that stirred a whirlwind of emotions, practical considerations, and logistical challenges.
Now, each of us is going through different experiences. The areas of life where we wish to claim wholeness call us to seek balance. We find ourselves standing at a crossroads of choice and consequence. Perhaps some of us are in our natural habitat in a whirlwind landscape. Whirlwind landscapes are all around us—weather storms, firestorms, heat waves…you know, you are here too, watching, participating, or trying to avoid looking. These landscapes can feel overwhelming; they demand our attention and challenge our sense of stability.
Riding the waves of change is all about embracing opportunities and adapting with confidence. Doing our best to the forces around us, anticipate shifts, and respond with agility, transforming challenges into advantageswhile not being afraid to fall into deep waters.
Amid this chaos, it is essential to carve out a sense of peace and grounding. We can learn from the tumultuous waves of change and engage with them actively rather than passively resisting them. Each experience, whether welcome or jarring, holds the potential for growth and understanding. They prompt us to reassess our priorities. They encourage us to embrace new perspectives. Ultimately, they lead us toward a more profound sense of wholeness.
MoonWaves 2025 is my creative process dedicated to supporting and empowering wave riding.
This week heralds the Human Design Rave New Year, and we find ourselves in the powerful 41st Gate, or 41st Hexagram of the I Ching. This significant gate is anchored in the Root Chakra, and it’s from this foundational energy that we will launch this month’s MoonWaves—starting boldly at the root.

September arrived with promise; cooling nights, lingering days, earlier Sunsets…and then…there was a knock on the door…not literally, thank goodness. On a lovely afternoon a fire, a rapidly expanding fire.
These days who hasn’t has a fire, flood, or avalanche or highway collapse. Local disasters have become standard. One questions rises up continually for me…am I ready ? Ready or not here it comes. Reminding me of the childhood games of hide and seek…
Ready or not here I come.
Gifts of September remain. No fire evacuation occurred, although preparedness was essential. Causing me to pose the question, can I continue to be ready…all the time ? I’m preparedness exhausted. A few plans are in place, my big move back to Nevada was of monumental effort…thoughts of possible new space evacuation were met with disbelief.
Ready or not, it’s happening
The panacea for evacuation trauma ?
Creativity…all kinds, music, walking, meditation, active brush and paint…
Please consider attending a pop up creative circle.
Welcome to June ! I’ve been contemplating Softness.
soft·ness
/ˈsôf(t)nəs/
noun
1.the quality of being easy to mold, cut, compress or fold.
“I snuggled deeper into the warm softness of my bed”
2.a subtle effect or contrast; lack of sharp definition.”a general softness of focus”
My focused inquiry these past weeks has been aimed towards reclaiming calm and softness. I rediscovered the affirmation works of Shakti Gawain and reawakened my Gene Keys inquiry. To share what is rising up I’m offering an emergent wisdom course called Moon Magic beginning on June 6th, date and times are at the bottom of this page. You’ll see to time options, attend one or both. Themes that start to arise in one session can be easily expanded upon with extra time set aside to be in circle together. You won’t miss out on anything if you come to only one session, the field dynamics of creating in group deepen your process. A recording will be sent upon request.
Given the stress of contemporary living with all the shifts and changes, I have been intentionally reorganizing my office and library. My hologenetic profile is a 5/1 , my 1st line Researcher has accumulated an enormous amount of documents within exploration of Creativity and Self Transformation, this all began so very long ago before technology really boomed, old school paper records were “the” way…in an effort to create more office/studio harmony I am striving to balance between digital and analogue. As an Artist / Bookkeeper my right /left brain dynamics have been interesting for me to observe, my Artist self takes up most of the physical studio while the computer takes the financial business. Striving for balance in this as well, as I’ve now become a digital image collector & creator !
Why Affirmations now ? To help relieve stress. To call in positive thinking ! Can you think if more answers to the why ? Why art making ? To communicate the unseen from within. Collaging images is an active form of visual narrative, the process reveals new ideas while also expanding a sense of personal space within the feeling of Timelessness.
I’m repurposing saved calendars, magazines, even my original art images. Having a good printer helps to duplicate images as new themes are introduced.
Last Sunday, I created a fresh Cosmic Smashbook™ to hold a new vision for my next phase of 2024. I’m making a move which means I’m consolidating my studio into mini studio . Scale is a wonderful concept, my art world can be like an Alice in Wonderland Tale…shrinking downward or expanding up and out. Journals and Cosmic Smashbooks™ are a perfect way to scale an Intentional Creativity practice. Visit this page to see Supplies needed for creating the container of a Cosmic Smashbook™,
