I’ve rediscovered Summer , in all surprise, as the transformation of our world meets its edges, I’ve rediscovered Summer. I am beyond grateful. Each day brings gifts of heat, insects, temperature plunges, temperature rises all across our planet, even in the recent daily disasters…

I have recreated a reconnection to Summer. This Michigan Summer is uniquely opposite of the Southwest, and tho I long for the the vistas and sharp air of Northern New Mexico…Michigan has reconnected me to nature, in a restorative way. My inner wisdom whispers that befriending where we are at is a wise step.

A swarm of no-see-ms and mosquitoes bit me in what felt like a thousand places, the welts truly itched and lingered. Regardless, the nymph spirits of forest and rivers have blessed my Spirit. Today, a shocking rainfall poured out of the misty skies, a little delay in playing outdoors for now.

Last month I had the pleasure of guiding art making at the Lansing Art Gallery and Education Center for a budding group of young creatives. I’m so proud of them. Expressive Art is so important as an act of personal wellness and inner connection, allows for letting our left brain and computer “Borg” brian to relax a bit.

What else is happening ? I am reminded of our childhood back to school assignments…What I did on my Summer Vacation….well, I painted in Legend…at Musea School for Intentional Creativity, it was an incredible experience. My Legendary Muse is a work in progress, She carries an old soul feeling for me. I learned so much these past months, I had let my painting pause whilst I played with AI and Procreate, I always water color but it is good to get back to my golden acrylic paint and brush.

I’d like to thank all creatives that that joined in Full Moon Wisdom & Lion’s Gate Circle this month, it feels good to get back into the practice of intentionally contemplating image and watching what emerges !
